This hour-long lunch and learn event covers how to address questions about climate change with buyers and sellers, whatever your own views, and the tools that support you as their agent.

Our region has been in the news within the context of climate change – from Asheville choosing to be “Climate City” to the effects of hurricanes and wildfires across our region. Regardless of your views, as a REALTOR® you serve as a Special Agent with the responsibility of a fiduciary in buying or selling real property.  This class will define climate change and we will discuss how you can talk about the topic when your client brings it up. Tools that you can use to support your role as a fiduciary will also be discussed.  The real estate market is a mechanism for climate adaptation, but the risks and benefits need to be better understood. This Lunch and Learn is a snippet of a 4 hr course that is also available, accepted as CE in 8 states.
