Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS)

Description

After this course, you will be able to:

• Help clients evaluate and select the type of property, form of ownership, and financing options.
• Identify strategies for building a rental property business or assessing the investment value of property.
• Understanding the IRS guidelines for tax treatment of second-home vacation and investment properties.
• Use market statistics and trends to develop a business plan.

To earn the RSPS certification, REALTORS® must complete a few basic requirements:

1. Be in good standing with NAR.
2. Complete the one-day Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist Certification course.
3. Submit certification application and one-time fee of $194.50.

Instructor: Stephanie Walker
Stephanie Walker has been in the real estate business for more than 3 decades Her experiences give her plenty of real-life stories to supplement her courses with actual scenarios that bring relevance, substance, and humor to attendees.  Attendees remark that sessions with Stephanie are enjoyable, informative, interactive, and full of real-world examples that are relevant to the issues they face daily.  She has found a way to make Ethics fun!  Stephanie holds several NAR Designations and is trained in both REALTOR® and Superior Court Mediation.
